If a 13 win team ever had reason to panic the New Orleans Saints may have found it. How does a dominant team race out to a 17 point lead at home against a struggling (2 win) team with a rookie QB and manage to lose. In one of the most shocking and inconceivable upsets of the year the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Saints 20-17 in OT. With a win the Saints could have locke up the # 1 seed in the NFC and had guaranteed themselves home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Now to get the # 1 seed the Saints have to hope for a Minnesota loss or a win against the suddenly hot and dangerous Carolina Panthers team next Sunday. No matter how the seeding plays out in the next week the Saints need to fix they’re issues fast or they will not be around long enough in the play-offs for home field to matter.
